Dr. Rahul Kamat is a medical astrologer who specialises in the traditional principles of Vedic Medical Astrology (Vaidyakīya Jyotiṣa) and their relevance to health and wellbeing today. His work explores how planetary patterns, individual constitution and lifestyle relate to preventive awareness. He is committed to interpretation that is responsible and easy to understand.

Dr. Kamat holds an MBBS from Bombay University and a Master of Medical Education (MME) from the University of Berne, Switzerland. He is a Jyotish Visharada of the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), where he serves as faculty and Head of the Mumbai Chapter.

His work brings science and tradition together. A long-standing interest in medicine and anatomy led him to explore what he calls "mystical anatomy": the spiritual correlates of the human body in traditional and modern frameworks. In his approach, modern medicine is always the first line of defence. Jyotiṣa and Ayurveda then add to the understanding of health, of how disease develops, and of patterns at the level of tissues and cells.
